Who is Traci Keychain? "Traci Keychain" is really Traci Kanaan, a native of Berea, Ohio. Traci moved to Palmetto, Florida in 1995...but couldn't find a job where she could utilize her creative abilities and sales skills to their fullest. So she started Traci Keychain Advertising Specialties, Inc. in 1996.

IN THE BEGINNING…
Traci grew up in the family printing business. Her mother used to bring her to the family print shop as a baby, and began working there at the age of 8. Traci learned every aspect of the printing business, from developing negatives and plates, bindery work, to graphic design. Samples of keychains would come in to the office, and Traci's dad used to give them to her as rewards for her work. Over the years those keychains become a collection of well over 1000+, and come from all over the world including England, Scotland, Ireland, Greece, Italy, and Turkey.

THE SUBURBAN LEGEND
When Traci moved to Palmetto, she needed a way to kick start her business in a tight-knit community such as Manatee County. She took 250 of those keychains, hand sewed them to a jacket which she wore to business functions to generate attention. The gimmick worked. At a trade show, one elderly lady admired Traci's jacket. She asked Traci her name. Traci replied "Traci Kanaan," but the lady misunderstood her and said "Traci Keychain? That's really clever!" Traci thought so too…and Traci Keychain was born.

Traci now specializes in innovative and creative ways to get your business the attention it deserves. Her customers appreciate her honest approach, and how she works to meet her clients needs with creative marketing solutions that don't go over budget.

KAESER & BLAIR
In order to better service her customers, Traci became a dealer for Kaeser & Blair in November of 2004. Kaeser & Blair was founded in 1894, and is the 19th largest distributor in the industry. Kaeser's excellent pricing and services, combined with Traci's experience and creative skills make a winning combination for any business that wants to increase their sales, encourage customer and employee loyalty, and further develop their brand.

FUNNY LADY
Traci takes her business very seriously. But when she's not serving her customers, she's serving up some laughs at one of the local comedy clubs. A nationally touring feature comedian and local comedy favorite - Traci's fans immediately recognize her as "the love child of Dolly Parton and MASH's Corporal Klinger" - and love her witty song parodies. She sings about her life experiences, pop culture and political happenings.

Money, Marketing & Mayhem is a comedy seminar for small business owners and start ups, that would like to learn some valuable business tips while laughing their way to the bank. Created with Pearl Dahmen, CPA, the seminar is a 2 hour program; 1 hour on money, 1 hour on marketing. The seminar combines 2 funny ladies, their love of business and their love of comedy into a memorable, educational experience!

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Traci is extremely active in her community. She has served the following organizations:

Palmetto Rotary (1996 – present) – Traci has served as President 2004-2005, Vice-President, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms, Director, Community Service Chair, and has participated in numerous club projects. Her favorite project is the Kid's Christmas Party, which assists 50+ needy children every year.

Keep Manatee Beautiful (1999 – 2004) – Traci served as Chairman from 2003-2004

Traci's other interests include sewing and quilting, photography, kayaking, playing Scrabble with The Manatee Scrabble Club NSA #642, and spending time with husband Mike. Traci and Mike have 4 pets - a Siamese cat named Vinnie, a tiger striped cat named Tiger, a yellow lab named Max, and a neurotic blue and gold macaw named Fred.
